We are back online after a month of disruption in the moving. People ask if we are getting settled. The answer is not really. We have quite a bit of work we wish to do on the house so we decided that if we are to do it we need to not have a bunch of extra stuff to push around.
Ok, so where are we at with Josie. Our dossier made it to Haiti and we are now logged in to their system and are waiting to hear the verdict. The events leading to this paperwork making to Haiti are of the Lord and we have nothing to do with it. If God wants Merilda Josie here at our house then it will be His doing and definitely not ours. This weekend we are seeing Yves at a fundraiser and they have new photos of Josie so were excited about that. We got to talk to Josie on the phone a few weeks ago. She had a sweet little voice and it was fun to think she is way over there and we are here yet she seemed so close.
We ask that you continue to pray God's will for her life and if we are to be a part of that then He will speed up the process and get her to us so we can begin being a part of her.
Thanks for all the prayers. They are coveted and we are grateful for your involvement in our adoption process.

Update on Josie
We have completed all our paperwork, filed an I 600A, had every documented notarized, certified, authenticated and it is currently being translated on a flight from France. We faxed the documents to be translated in French to France and the couple translating will do in enroute to the USA. We should have them by Monday the 22nd. Then we will overnight them to Chicago to the Haitian Consulate to be legitamized and then on to Haiti to be logged into the IBESR( kinda like SRS over there) by Jan 7 the Lord willing. I would ask for prayer that all the paperwork be translated correctly and that the hands of those reading the documents find it acceptable. In addition we need Josie's birth certificate to file with the paperwork. SO MANY things can go wrong but we are just doing as the Lord asks and are watching him do the rest.
1. $5500 donated
2. My good friend Paula's friend Michelle's daughter married a Frenchman and they are coming to Newton for Christmas-our translators
3. Documents accepted in KC and Topeka without a hitch
We have 7 days in Chicago-2 days to get to Haiti-1 day to turn in paperwork to IBESR....
I will be excited to post the next time.

Welcome to our new blog for Josie Leigh!

I can't believe I am writing to you on ANOTHER blog( I can barely keep afloat) I just decided if God is asking us to"increase"(meaning of Josie is God will increase and God will add) then I want to record every step of the way and how He is going to bring Josie to us. We had been praying about what the Lord would want when someone stepped forward with the first of the money to get going. I am never ceased to be amazed at God's timing. We told GVCM we wanted her for keeps last week and on Monday the 1st of December a couple returning from Haiti said they had interest in her. For those of you who don't know, Josie is Luke's biological sister at the orphanage. We know the value of family and so we feel God wants us to add yet another Beougher to our quiver and give Luke and Josie that bond of biological family.
Step #1 is going to KC and filing immigration paperwork.
I plan on using this blog so that if Josie ever doubts she was hand picked by God for our family, she can read the wonderful provision along the path to bringing her to us.
Specific Prayer requests:
1. The Haitian government will not change adoption laws until we are officially in their system. That would not allow us to get her. Otherwise we could get denied.
2. That the paperwork can be swiftly processed and that we can get our Dossier to the consulate FAST>>>>
3. That as we walk this path we give the Glory to our gracious Lord.
Already we see God moving. Today a friend created this blog for me(thanks Sheri!) and another friend gave us Laci's piano tuition free as a contribution to our family. What blessings are floating around us if we will only take our eyes off of our selves and look to the Lord(this past week I was wallowing in a pity party so that statement is for me!)
I attached a photo of our kiddos. I am partial but I think they look awesome!
